Terms of Use

By joining the early-access list, creating an account, or using WorldCanon, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

WorldCanon is an early-access product under active development. Features may change, break, be limited or be removed, and data loss is possible. Usage limits may apply and can be adjusted while we tune the service.

Give accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and take responsibility for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

You agree not to:

• use the service unlawfully, or to harass, defame or harm others;
• attempt to bypass usage limits, quotas, billing, authentication or security;
• scrape, bulk-download or automate access beyond normal personal use;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• upload malware, or content that is illegal or sexually exploitative of minors;
• probe, disrupt or overload our infrastructure or that of our providers.

You keep whatever rights you already have in the content you submit or create. You grant WorldCanon a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit and display that content back to you and to anyone you share it with, solely to operate and improve the service. That licence ends when you delete the content, subject to routine backups.

Generated text and images may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to output produced for other users, and is not exclusive to you. Rights in AI output can be uncertain and vary by jurisdiction. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before you rely on, publish or sell anything based on it.

We use third parties for hosting, storage, AI generation, email and payments. Their availability and terms can affect the service, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions beyond what the law requires.

The WorldCanon software, name, branding, interface and original platform materials belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not transfer any of those rights to you.

WorldCanon is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast, Dungeons & Dragons, Paizo, or any other game publisher, unless we say so explicitly. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Any prices, plan limits or founder offers shown during early access are projections and are not binding. They become binding only when actual paid subscription terms are presented to you at checkout. Billing is not active unless the app explicitly says so.

We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, non-payment once billing is active, or legal and security reasons. You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" during early access. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the extent permitted by law, WorldCanon is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

You agree to cover reasonable claims, damages and costs arising from your unlawful or infringing use of the service or your breach of these terms.

We may update these terms as the product develops. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

The governing law and venue for disputes will be identified before paid subscriptions launch, and these terms will be updated accordingly at that time.
